About Me

Hey, I'm Faseeh

Welcome to my corner of the internet

Iā€™m currently a Senior Experience Designer at Nebraska Medicine, working on improving patient care and provider outcomes. Previously, I was working on Zoom Huddles at Zoom. I also designed experiences for non-designers at PosterMyWall, and before that, I started my own design agency Neglected Pixels, designing for companies like P&G, Dinara, CocaCola, and Hair Matters.

When I'm not immersed in design, you'll likely find me capturing moments through street photography, writing or exploring new corners of the globe.

More about me

Why did you pivot from economics to design?

My passion for design started when I took my first Human Computer Interaction course in undergrad, while being formally trained as an Economist. It was then I realized my passion lies at the intersection of human behavior and technology.

What particularly interests you about experience design?

I used to freelance as a graphic designer, creating logos, typesets, and brand campaigns for local businesses. After college, I transitioned to a startup as a UX Designer, which was one of my best career decisions. I enjoy the creative and technical challenges of solving ambiguous problems, especially with new technologies.

Where do you find design inspiration?

Everyday experiences; observing how people interact with spaces and products. Small details that make life easier and more enjoyable fuel my creativity. I'm also inspired by great designers like Dieter Rams, who emphasizes simplicity and functionality, Jony Ive, the mind behind many iconic Apple products, and Jakob Nielsen, renowned for his work in usability. Their philosophies motivate me to push the boundaries of design.

Will Artificial Intelligence take my job?

I don't believe AI will replace experience designers but will enhance our work. While it can automate tasks and offer suggestions, it can't match human empathy, creativity, and nuanced decision-making. UX design requires emotional intelligence and problem-solving that AI lacks. Instead of worrying about AI taking over, it's a tool that helps me focus on innovation and strategy.

Can you make the logo bigger?

It depends.
